The closest airports are the ones in El Calafate and Rio Gallegos. In both cities there are different transport companies. El Chaltén lies 220km away from El Calafate, and 370km away from Rio Gallegos.

If you go by car, you can go there from the north, by Road Nº 40, making a stop at Los Antiguos, Cueva de las Manos, and Perito Moreno National Park. If you choose this way, keep in mind that the last 40kms must be done on a debris road.

From the south (El Calafate), you can take Road Nº 40 until La Leona, turning left to Road Nº 23.
